New issues and the stamps that all most killed me to use.

Well can you believe it is all ready February and what better way
to spend the cold day's of winter in the rural Mountains of
Kentucky then in doors with one stamps and the new issue's
for this month will start Feb 8 with 39¢ Lady Liberty and U.S. Flag
on Feb 8 there will be No Ceremony for this issue then
Feb 22 we will see the 84¢ Yosemite National Park
(International letter rate) on Feb 22 with it being issued in
Washington, DC also on the same day
63¢ Bryce Canyon National Park
(International Canada and Mexico letter rate)
issued in Washington, DC also on the 22st as well

the 75¢ Great Smokey Mountains National Park
(International postcard rate) issued in
Washington, DC a lot of stamps coming out on the same
day I don't know if the US has every issued three stamps
in the same day in the past but I can say this February 22
I sure will be a busy day for all of us, and some bad news as
I post this my main man the postmaster after many years of
Service above that of a normal postmaster he has let me down finely
(Ask any Woman and I sure there are lots that would
say that a man lets one down sooner or later, HA. HA.)

I called him on Monday morning just like so many other
mornings to have Mike my mail carrier to bring me
some of the 24¢ Pikes Peak Exploration issued on
Jan 9 and the new 39¢ Lunar New Year issued on
Jan 29 so I could get them ready to mail off to get FDC
and when Jeff told me what he had to say my heart
just drop you would all most though some one had died,

but he has not got in his supply of the 24¢ Pikes Peak cards yet
and was tell me about a e-mail that he got letting him know
that he might not get the Lunar New Year issue till next
Monday the 6th of February so that means that when I go to
Oneida, TN Friday I will be stopping at every post office
that I even come close to and hope that I find the
Pikes Peak cards to make the deadline to get the FDC.

Tonight's photo is of the LEWIS AND CLARK stamp
Scott #3855 & #3856 the stamps that all most killed
me to use, but yes I did use them they are from the
LEWIS AND CLARK Prestige Booklet
issued May 14, 2004 (Press Release)
way you ask did it all most kill me to use these stamps?
Hold these stamps in your hand and feel them
yes feel them, they sure don't feel like any stamps
I have felt be for and if that is not enough just look at them
they are new stamps but don't they look like some old vintage stamps,

why did I use them so I could get some used one and to have
a set of the two to put in that album that I will get one of these day,
I can say this it is a lot easier buying stamps then it is a album
to put them in because I just don't know witch one I will end up
liking and there are a few to pick from, they range in price as well
from the low end to the very high end albums.

I can say this much tho I might not know witch album I want
for my stamps I how every do know witch album
I want for my FDC and have got the order ready for it,
White Ace FDC album. be sure to have a look at the new FDC
I have added to my cover page,
Lady Liberty Norwood Cachet
Navajo Jewelry Re-Issue Cover
Disabled American Veterans

and don't forget to try for the Event Covers
the 10th e-mail with the right answer to
(A Prestige Booklet is a stamp booklet with oversized panes,
descriptive Information and images commemorating
a special topic. The idea for these booklets
originated Where???????? And In what year ????)

tomorrow night I will start and give clues to
the answer's, well till next time happy stamping.
